Today’s prep list for tomorrow Maker’s Mark bourbon brunch.

Butcher the Pork Loin into chops

Marinate said chops (marinade includes Maker’s Mark, fresh ground Mustard Seed and a touch of Cardamon)

Make the Maker’s Mark and Mustard glaze

Chop lots of Veggies of Omelets

Make Sweet Maple and Maker’s Mark Sauce for Chicken Wings

Cook off the Bacon for the Bacon and Black Pepper Waffles

Make the Maker’s Mark and Apple Syrup

See you tomorrow?

  1. Hey Beau, that sounds delicious … but I’m stuck in Atlanta and can’t try your stuff first hand…

    any chance you’d part with that Marker’s Mark sauce?

    I won’t give it away… promise…

    • Sure! For a smaller batch try

      1 cup real Maple Syrup
      1/2 cup Maker’s Mark
      1 Tablespoon of Sambal Chili Paste or Sriracha Chili Sauce
      1/2 teaspoon of fresh ground Black Pepper

      In a medium bowl whisk together all ingredients until combined. Notice there is no salt in this recipe as the salt balance is a little difficult to decipher. The whiskey is powerful at this point. I suggest smoking your chicken or chicken wings and salting the chicken liberally. Same if grilling or baking. If frying the chicken salt to taste before basting or tossing the wings.
