By popular demand for 4th of July goodness!
1 cup real Maple Syrup
1/2 cup Maker’s Mark
1 Tablespoon of Sambal Chili Paste or Sriracha Chili Sauce
1/2 teaspoon of fresh ground Black Pepper
In a medium bowl whisk together all ingredients until combined. Notice there is no salt in this recipe as the salt balance is a little difficult to decipher. The whiskey is powerful at this point. I suggest smoking your chicken or chicken wings and salting the chicken liberally. Same if grilling or baking. If frying the chicken salt to taste before basting or tossing the wings.
